Byredo Gypsy Water Hair Perfume

Byredo Gypsy Water Hair Perfume

If you, like me, are the proud manager of some long, thick, wild, non-washable-everyday-able locks, then the Byredo hair perfumes are a little luxury worth a peruse next time you're passing Space NK.

Long term readers will know I'm pretty picky when it comes to perfumes - overwhelming, heady scents give me a headache (super-rich YSL Black Opium being the peculiar exception), so I'm much more a light, woody, floral-y fan overall. Gypsy Water is a scent dripping with cool-girl (and boy, for that matter) credentials. It is woody: think damp pine needles in the summer, juniper berries, and a vanilla-ey note to stop it being overtly masculine.

The big advantage here, however, is that it's a hair perfume specifically. About half the price of a Byredo EDP, for those of us not made of money. It's designed not to dry out the hair as a normal perfume would, either - and as the hair moves, you catch a delicate reprise of the scent again. If you, like me, can't wash your hair every day, or if you are sensitive to perfume formulations on your skin, this is a lovely formula worth looking into.
