Colourpop Yes, Please! Palette Review and Swatches

Colourpop Yes, Please! Palette

Someone at Colourpop HQ is a genius. Our current obsession as a beauty community with all things warm, plus a limited edition, bargain, almost-Natasha-Denona-dupe release? You had me at the $16 price tag.

Yes, Please! is a super-warm toned collection of wearable-to-wild shades. It is remarkably similar in tones and finishes to that spendy ND palette - not an exact dupe, but a fraction of the price for something extremely close in colour selection. I love me a Colourpop Super Shock, so I was really excited about this palette.

There's a nice mix of mattes, duochromes, and full on metallic shades, and it's surprisingly easy to create a lovely, summery, cohesive look using only this palette. The pans are small, and the palette is compact - sturdy cardboard, with 0.85g of product per pan (for reference, a MAC x9 Palette shadow contains 0.8g of product, three less shadows per palette and costs considerably more). I'm honestly not bothered about the size - they are perfectly useable and the colours are so intensely pigmented, you're still getting great bang for your buck.

Ok - formula. Overall - I'm overjoyed. This is my first foray into Colourpop's pressed shadows, and I am impressed. The matte shades are, across the board, exceptionally good - I've paid triple the price for shadows in the past that don't perform nearly as well. A couple of the shades kick up a bit of dust in the pan (Big Cocktails, the matte orange, and Mischief, the canary yellow) but they all applied well, the other shades were surprisingly creamy, and they blended beautifully.  Even Spoiled, the amazing dark red, applied without a hitch.

The shimmers - well. The swatches speak for themselves. They apply as well as they swatch.

I get a solid 7-8 hours wear-time wearing this palette (I must confess, I haven't worn all of them for a full 8 hour test - I only have two eyes and two full makeup wearing days a week!).

Ok, sure. I've definitely got some dupes for the paler shades. And three million dark browns. But these fiery, hot, summery shades in a compact, travel friendly, completely useable solo palette is a dream come true. Well done Colourpop.

Yes, Please! is a limited edition product - did you manage to get your hands on one? Fingers crossed for a restock!
