The Ordinary Haul No.2 - Natural Moisturizing Factors and Azelaic Acid Suspension
The Ordinary just keeps getting better and better. If you're not familiar with the brand, or with DECEIM, their parent company, it might be worth checking out my other posts on The Ordinary here and my fave DECEIM primer over here. I love the concept of decent quality skincare without a luxury price tag (especially if it does what it says on the tin), so this brand were going to be a natural choice for me!
I picked up the Azelaic Acid Suspension, and the Natural Moisturising Factors + HA Surface Hydration Formula.
Natural Moisturising Factors + HA is another handy squeezy tube, containing 30ml of product - not super generous volume-wise when it comes to moisturiser, but for £4.90, I'm not complaining too much. You don't need a vast amount, and it's not at all greasy - my oily skin is really reacting very well to this (in that it's not reacting at all - it looks lovely and calm for a change!) and between using this and my January Labs moisturiser - I'm having a really good skin month.
The forumla is a cocktail of triglycerides, amino acids, fatty acids, phospholipids and hyaluronic acid - basically, hydration, restoration and repair building blocks for the complexion. If you're super dry, this may not be quite enough for you if you like heavy creams; but for easily overwhelmed skin, Natural Moisturising Factors + HA is glorious.
Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% is a pre-moisturiser gel serum, aimed at brightening the complexion, increasing cell turnover (and so reducing dullness) and reducing blemishes and spot scars. If you're acne prone, you may really like this. I've been applying this to old breakouts and it's really helping to reduce the post-spot-scarring - just make sure you wear a good SPF over this during the day.
Overall - another big thumbs up from me. The Ordinary are becoming a force to be reckoned with.
