Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder
Our Charlotte's done it again. I'm already a huge Lip Cheat fan (if you've not tried Pillow Talk yet, get on that bandwagon - it's brilliant), and really love my little luxe Glamour Muse palette. I was in Fenwicks, and in need of a new compact powder. A super-trusted friend advised me I needed this in my life, and, well, I'm not one to argue with a CT recommendation...
Before even opening the thing - LOOK at that compact. Ms. Tilbury is the packaging queen. This is a joy to use - it feels really special, and is chunky and luxurious with a decent click closure. There's a useable mirror, and no sponge - which, personally, is a bonus for me - does anyone use the sponges in a powder compact?! I find they just deposit a zillion times the required amount - helloooooo cake face. Is it just me?
There is, in my experience, virtually no risk whatsoever of cake-face with this powder - I'm very oily and often need to re-touch multiple times a day, and don't encounter even the slightest caking. The formula is infused with rose wax and almond oil for hydrating purposes - I can use this happily under my eyes with no crepey appearance. I reckon drier skins than mine would get on just fine with this beauty, too.
The powder is incredibly finely milled - it really does epitomise silky - and definitely is kind to fine lines. I don't experience any settling in lines whatsoever, whether used over a BB cream or full coverage foundation. The finish is a soft, natural-matte - It's definitely not going to keep you flat matte all day, but keeps oil in check enough for me that the complexion looks healthy without being greasy.
All in all - Glorious. No complaints. Get it in your makeup bag.
